Restaurant at Cayman Kai
Sometime ago there was talk that the old restaurant owned by the Hyatt was going to be re-opened, but abit more casual. This is the restaurant behind the beach at Cayman Kai and has the long screened porch and the chairs have fish painted on them. Has it re-opened? Have any of the new resorts opened that were going to be built close to Morritts?

Are you talking about the Hyatt Restaurant at Rum Point that was open for dinner only pre-Ivan?? It had brightly colored chairs / furniture / etc .... ?? If so, there was a sign in there in June that said "re-opening in November 2008". We walked in and they are re-doing in the same colorful way with large chests, storage pieces, etc. Unless there has been some major delay, they should be able to meet that Nov opening date. Ann

I think maybe he's talking about the Kaibo Yacht Club, upstairs dining. Is that right?

I think maybe he's talking about the Kaibo Yacht Club, upstairs dining. Is that right? OK... if that is it, they are open on weekends now "upstairs" for dinner at Kaibo . I don't think they are owned by the Hyatt.... but maybe ??? They are also doing a "Full Moon Dining On the Beach" thing that looks like fun !! We have not been there for a full moon, but will definitely try it if we are there at the right time. Ann

Ann, You had it right! It is Rum Point and was closed after Ivan. It is nice to know we will have another option for going out to dinner. Thanks for the info!
