Driftwood Beach Bar Sunday BBQ
Does the Driftwood Beach Bar still have their Sunday BBQ? We are headed down on June 29 and hope to stop by.

Yes, we didn't get there this trip but the sign was up for the Sunday BarBQue as of this past Wednesday !

The sign was also up today about the Sunday BBQ when we tried to go to Rum Point, but couldn't find a place to park. It's back to Houston tomorrow.

yes they still have the BBQ and its still good food at one of the best prices. JUST get there early, I think its 1-7 pm I think. Gets crowded after 3 or 4 and not so sure about it sitting out in the heat. We did it in May and it was good.

Dirty Ried does a great job at the driftwoood. Food is wonderful, but another reason to get there early is that later in the afternoon, the crowd can get a little (lot) rowdy. GOM

Dumb question, where is the Driftwood Beach Bar?

Posted on Trip Advisor by a NorthSide resident.... The new owners of The Driftwood have posted July 17 as their "date to vacate" the property. The assumption is condos will be built on the site. If this is a fact, it's the end of an era down there !!

Did Frank sell the place?!?!?! They had just rebuilt it not long after Ivan. Man this sucks I was looking forward to going in Nov.

The girl that posted the info owns in the area and evidently spends a lot of time there each year. She knows East End / North Side details all the time. She said there was a new owner of Driftwood "as of last summer"... so it must have sold post-Ivan. Maybe the next person down will verify, but I'm really thinking it's true :cry: Ann
